Book Tour Spotlight: Fablenoir

Hello Readers and Hoppy Easter!

I hope everyone is having a delightful Holiday and that the Easter Bunny brought you a basket full of books! I’m back with another Book Tour put on by the fantastic Erik over at Breakeven Books on YouTube / Instagram! This time around we have a dark and gritty fairytale-esque book! If you were a fan of the show Grimm (a modern take on the Grimm Brothers Fairytales) Fablenoir is going to be RIGHT up your alley! Without further ado, let’s get into it!

Fablenoir takes place in New York City where you could meet a necromancer in a dark alleyway and children cry (were)wolf! Jackson (Jack) Slade works for the NYPD and has hit rockbottom. Addicted to magic beans and alcohol, he spends his nights in dive bars trying to forget. Jack’s life is flipped upside down when he discovers the body of media mogul, Dick Dumpty, outside of a hotel. This discovery kicks off a chain of events that flips Jack into the dark, speedy underbelly of the magical world. Jack forms a reluctant partnership with Goldilocks and go head to head with the criminal mastermind, Papa Bear! As they search for answers, one thing because clear, they’re going to change the world… for better or worse!

While this premise might come off as slightly silly, I LOVED this book and couldn’t help butt draw similarities between this concept and Grimm (which is such a great show, I highly encourage you to give that a watch if you haven’t already). The premise is fun and unexpected! It’s a unique twist on classic tales! This is also part of a series, both are available on Kindle Unlimited!

Spotlight Post + GIVEAWAY: When We Were Silent

Hello Readers!

I’m back with another exciting spotlight post and I’ll be hosting another giveaway… keep reading to learn more!

When Flatiron Publishing reached out and asked if I’d be interested in participating in their latest Blog Tour, I said “I might be! What kind of novel is this?” When they replied with a “psychological thriller seeped in dark academia” I was ALL IN.

When we were silent is the breakout debut novel from Fiona McPhillips. The story focuses on Louise Manson who was once a student at Dublin’s most elite boarding school, Highfield Manor. Highfield Manor is known for its high arching granite window alcoves, overspilling lilac, large oak doors, rustic libraries and… dark, festering secrets. Louise is thrust head first into this new world and tries her best to fit in with the popular, well-off students (coming from a lower class family). Lou’s time at the school ends with murder. Fast forward 30 years later. A friend seeks retribution and is suing Highfield Manor and wants Lou to be the star witness. With her life, daughter and past on the line, Lou needs to decide whether old secrets should stay buried. Fans of My Dark Vanessa and Promising Young Women are sure be love When We Were Silent!
