Hello Readers!

It is I, Mr Geek, back with another fantastic Book Tour put together by my buddy Erik over a Breakeven Books! Today’s featured author is a name that might sound familiar if you’ve been following along for a bit! I’ve featured several of Clarke’s previous books on my blog (Race To Novus & Let Your Lips Twitch, my personal favorite!!). Today’s spotlight is a bit of a deviation from these two novels!

Hatcher by R. A. Clarke takes place in a sci-fi, futuristic world. Neve’s husband, Jym, works for the police force and is tasked with exploring the other side of a “hatch” into an alien world. When Jym fails to return, Neve’s world shatters. Over the next decade, Neve copes with the lost of not only her husband, but also her estranged relationship with her daughters, through drugs. When all hope seems lost, She turns to drugs to help cope and completely destroyed the relationship with her daughters. When all hope is lost, a small probe returns through the hatch carrying a message from Jym. With a renewed sense of purpose, Neve sets out with a small team of soldiers to try to rescue Jym and begin to put the pieces of her broken life back together. Is Jym really alive or is this risky operation all part of a larger scheme? You’ll have to pick up this title to find out!

Hatcher was a short novella, coming in at a little over 150 pages! The pacing is breakneck and once you start, you won’t want to stop! This is the perfect novel for a quiet evening at home or whenever you just want to get lost in a book for a couple of hours!
